Greeting Fellow Lions

CABINET MEETING
The 3rd District Governor’s meeting is fast approaching!   Don’t forget to mark your calendars! It will be held March 15, 2018 at Raceland Lions Home (600 Hospital Dr, Raceland LA 70394).  Doors will be for 6pm and the meeting will start for 6:30pm.  A delicious meal will be served.   Please RSVP with a head count of club members & guests planning to attend to Lion President Terry Arabie (985-665-5005 or tarabie42553@hotmail.com) to ensure that we have enough food and refreshments for all.   Besides regular district business,  we will give everyone an opportunity to “Meet the Candidates” running for office with a Q&A session!  We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!

STATE CONVENTION
As a reminder,  our district is hosting the state convention this year on April 20-22,  2018 at the Airport Hilton in Kenner, LA.  I know the Convention team is hard at work making sure that this convention is one for the record books.  PDG Bob Ebberman asked me to remind everyone that seats are still available for the Melvin Jones Luncheon on  Convention Friday.  We are still taking registration for the Convention, but don’t delay,  Make sure you are in that number!

The Convention Program team is looking for ads for the program.  Ads are:

  • $25 for a quarter page of the program (about Business card size)
  • $50 for half page (a quarter of a letter sized page)
  • $100 for a full page (half a letter sized page, lengthwise)

Ads can be for clubs, local businesses, or even a word of support for a candidate or fellow Lion.  Program Book Ads help offset printing & operating costs for the convention. Program Ads are a GREAT way to spread the word of your business or club fundraisers to our Lions membership. We ask that the deadline for ads is April 1st. If you are interested in purchasing an ad,  ASAP please contact Lion Bob Williams (504.468.2475, bwilliams38@cox.net or via mail:
